The huts are inspired by the joys of simple lives led by the tides. Generally used for utilatarian purposes, the exteriors are influenced by the rustic Seaweed Picker huts, found further round Tauroa Point, and the rich history of the tramping hut, found dotted over New Zealand. The interiors have been reimagined to provide a balance between that which is essential and that little something extra. Leaving space for you to create your own version of paradise.
Hut tahi
Hut Tahi or Hut One is the middle building in the cluster. Although each Hut is identically set up, each has developed is own personality and feel. Hut 1 may just scrape ahead in the view stakes, and during our brief time in here before moving into our finished house, we considered just staying in there forever we felt so comfortable.
Fully Self Contained, with kitchen and bathroom
1 x Queen Bed, 1 x Day bed which can be made up as a single.
Natural materials. Locally made furniture. Organic bedding and towels. Beach Bag with waffle beach towels and thermos. All for a blissful stay.
Hut rua
Hut Rua or Hut Two is the eastern most building in the cluster. As it is nestled the most into the hill it has a more grounded and private feel of the two huts. During the build it was referred to as the "Forgotten Cabin" and so we point our guests looking for that sort of vibe this way. The images for this Hut were captured on film on Claire’s second visit. Visuals evolving alongside us.
